(Establishment)
Article 32
The Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters is established within the Cabinet Office
(hereinafter referred to as the “Headquarters”) for the purpose of comprehensively and
effectively promoting the Ainu Policy.
(Administrative duties)
Article 33
Section 1
The Headquarters shall administer clerical work cited below.
(1) Matters relating to preparation of proposals for the Basic Policy.
(2) Promotion for implementation of Basic Policy.
(3) Other than those cited in the preceding two paragraphs, plan and formulating essential
aspects of the Ainu Policy, as well as conducting general coordination.
(Organization)
Article 34
The Headquarters shall be organized with a Director of Ainu Policy Promotion
Headquarters, an Assistant Director of Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters, as well as
personnel of Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters.
(Director of Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters)
Article 35
Section 1
The Chief Cabinet Secretary shall be appointed to the post of Head of the Headquarters
(hereinafter referred to as the “Headquarters Director”).
Section 2
The Headquarters Director shall perform general management on clerical affairs of the
Headquarters, as well as manage and supervise assigned personnel.
(Assistant Director of Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters)
Article 36
Section 1
The Minister of State shall be appointed to the post of the Assistant Director of the Ainu
Policy Promotion Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the “Headquarters Assistant
Director” in the following section and Section 2 of the following article).
Section 2
The Assistant Director shall assist the Director in his or her duties.
(Personnel of Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters)
Article 37
Section 1
Ainu Policy Promotion Headquarters Personnel are assigned to the Headquarters
(hereinafter referred to as the “Headquarters Personnel” in the following section).
Section 2
The following individuals shall be assigned to the post of Headquarters Personnel
(excluding any individual who has been appointed to the post of the Assistant Director
among those cited in Paragraph 1 to Paragraph 8).
